Every dataflow you create produces a new output dataset, and if multiple dataflows read from the same source, each creates its own copy. Without careful planning, you end up with duplicate data across dozens of output datasets, inflating your row count and pushing you into higher pricing tiers.

We restructure your dataflow architecture so that datasets are reused as much as possible. Instead of five dataflows each importing the same source table and producing five separate outputs, we consolidate into shared intermediate datasets that feed multiple cards and pages. We also move heavy transformations outside Domo into Python pipelines, so only clean, pre-aggregated data enters the platform. This typically reduces total dataset count by 30-60% and cuts row volume significantly.

Domo has 1,000+ native connectors. For databases and APIs not covered, we build custom connectors or pre-process data with external Python pipelines that feed clean datasets into Domo.
